THE JOYCE HUGHES COLLECTION

These are downloadable zip files of scanned historical magazines from the Joyce Hughes Collection. The collection includes Linechasers UK, Cat Review, Cat World (1950s-60s), Cats Magazine (early issues) and others as I scan them. They are free to download and use, but a mention of The Joyce Hughes Bequest would be appreciated by her family.

With grateful thanks to the family of Joyce Hughes for allowing me to share the historical collection from her estate. As well as thousands of magazines, the collection included club newsletters, show catalogues and hundreds of books. The newsletters, catalogues and books have found homes around the world with cat clubs, breed societies and individuals dedicated to keep fat fancy history alive. Joyce was and important figure in the early days of Havana/Havana Browns and Oriental Shorthairs.

Additional issues and titles were scanned by the late Amanda Bright (where these duplicate Joyce's issues I have used existing scans). Cat Gossip is courtesy of Julia Craig-McFeely; many thanks to Julia for scanning these and graciously allowing them to be included in this on-line archive for everyone to share.
