READICUT BOOK OF RUGS - 1940s
Sarah Hartwell, 2021

This catalogue is undated (possibly only the price lists were dated at the time), but is either wartime or immediately post-war. it refers to the pre-war rug-outfits which were not available at the time due to labour shortages. It was also unable to supply string canvas so the rug kits were suppied as hessian and bales of uncut wool. Rug frames, or instructions for making one, were also available. The catalogue said that rugmakers used to working with readicut outfits could confidently make Readicut rugs on hessian.
