NEW SEASON'S RUG-MAKING GUIDE - NEWCASTLE WOOL COMPANY CATALOGUE (1936)
This is the 1936 "Guide to rugmaking" from the Newcastle Wool Company. Latch-hooking was second place to designs on hessian, but designs could be transferred to stencilled string canvas on request. Thrums (offcuts from carpet weaving industry) were also offered. The company catered for all kinds of rug-making including chain-stitched and cross stitched mats.
