This catalogue was pubished as the war was coming to an end and many things were in short supply. Instead of offering a large number of designs, Readicut coped with shortages by offering all of the available designs in 3 different colour schemes. The canvases were all printed in the same colours, but the wools supplied were different. The rugmaker could make further colour substitutions. Most colour schemes had to be on a background of grey or fawn as the brighter dyes were in short supply.
